Our two main treatments are physiological psychology and neurotherapy.

  • Physiological Psychology
    While psychology studies the mind, physiology studies the body. Combining the two behavioural neurosciences gives you an insight into how the physical structure of the brain affects thoughts and actions.
  • Neurotherapy
    Neurotherapy deals with neuronal systems and electromagnetic energies of the body. Most commonly used type of neurotherapy is the neurofeedback which uses electroencephalogram (EEG) and implements operant conditioning principles to teach the brain to maintain optimal physiological and mental states.

Most psychological therapies seek to guide peoples thinking and emotions by counselling and rational discussions. Biofeedback is a computer based method, training the subconscious physiological processes to normalise or improve individual's mental, emotional or physical functioning.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence based psychological treatment initially developed for the treatment of PostTraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It is seeking to connect the emotional and cognitive parts of your brain.

The types of energy therapy used at Adam Psychology are scientifically founded methods mainly the Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF), such as Neurofield, or Far Infrared Light (FIR) based techniques e.g. VieLight.

Dana is a psychologist experienced in working with adults, children and couples. She is committed to a holistic, non-invasive approach, tailored to address the individual goals of each client. Her enthusiasm for all dimensions of human behaviour led her to extensive postgraduate studies in psychology, cultural anthropology and political science. This diverse educational background assisted her in understanding people in the entire context of their life. 


Adam Psychology is committed to helping individuals of all ages conquer mental health battles. Dana Marie Adam, our principal psychologist, takes a holistic, non-invasive approach to healing. She serves the local community and works with many children, adults and couples across Sydney.
